○ WHO에서는 ‘02년부터 3～4년 주기로 어린이 건강과 환경 국제 컨퍼런스 개최

- 1차(태국, ‘02) : Chulabhorn Research Institute 주관, 53개국 400여명 참가

- 2차(아르헨티나, ‘05) : 아르헨티나 정부, 라틴아메리카 지역 국가 380여명 참가

□ 회의 개요

○ 회의 명칭 :3rd WHO International Conference on Children's Health and the Environment

○ 주최 : 세계보건기구(WHO)(개최 : 대한민국 환경부, 환경보건정책과)

○ 기간 : 2009.6.7(일)～10(수), 4일간※ 6월 7일(일)은 사전 워크숍 및 지역행사 개최 예정 ○ 장소 : 부산(BEXCO 컨벤션센터)

○ 규모 및 참석대상 : 국내외 총 500여명

- 국내 : 관계부처(외교부, 환경부, 복지부, 교육부 등) 담당자, 어린이 환경보건 전문가 및 학생, 시민단체 등(약 300여명 예상)

- 국외 : 국제기구(WHO, UNEP, UNICEF 등) 담당자, 유럽, 미주, 아시아 등 50여 개국 정부관계자, 전문가 등(약 200여명 예상)

The Organizing Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for presentation at the CEH 2009. Abstracts should be submitted in English, between 250 and 300 words in length, and in MS Word format. Please include the title, authors full names (surname in capital letters), affiliation, and country. Your full contact details will be requested for administrative purposes only but will not be distributed (telephone, address, email and full name of presenter).

The abstract should be submitted by on-line at www.ceh2009.org by March 1,2009

Notification of acceptance of abstract will be via email by March 15, 2009. You will be notified of whether your presentation will be a poster or an oral presentation by March 30, 2009.
